Youth Group Heading

It's a new school year!   We have a new Pastor!   We have a new priest!   You're in a new grade!   We have new T-Shirts!   We have new ideas!

So why are doing the same old thing!?!

There's only one thing that the St. Ann's Youth Group needs to make it the most exciting and meaningful experience for young Catholic parishioners in our area:  YOU.

Sure, last year we had fun joining up with hundreds of other Catholics your age at the Diocesan Youth Day.  We had a blast picking pumpkins.  It was a lot of fun much more than we thought in fact playing games with our elderly friends at the nursing home.  We ate a lot of (free) pizza, sandwiches, and soda not to mention a couple of trips to some nice restaurants.  Of course we enjoyed the heated discussions like whether or not it's OK to drink directly from the orange juice container then put it back.  Some of us had a great time seeing top-notch, professional live theater productions of Godspell and High School Musical.  The trip to Great Adventure with the Bishop was a real crowd pleaser too.

But something was missing from all those activities which made them something less than perfect, and we figured out what it was that was missing:  YOU!

All we need to make this new season the best one ever is one more person: You.  Of course, you should also bring a friend or two or twenty.  But they won't come unless you do.

So why are you sitting there watching the same TV shows, doing the same homework, playing the same video games, and texting the same friends.  Why not come to a youth group meeting?

Let's get this year off to a bigger start than last year.  To keep informed, just send an email to:  youthgroup@stannparish.com   with your name and email, your parents name and email, your grade, and a phone number.  Then just watch for the announcements in the bulletin, on the website, and of course in your email.

While some events will be open to 6th graders, we are looking for 7th grade and older to start off our year.  So send your email now and wait to hear from us when we schedule the first meeting!

Do you or your parents have questions?  Call me:  908-725-0860.

Parents willing to be on the list of drivers for youth group activities, kindly state so in your email or call me.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
