Closing Announcements & Changes to the Regular Schedule

    Emergency School Closings

    Honeywell
Beginning with the 2008-2009 school year, we have implemented a new Emergency School Closing system. An Instant Alert message will be used to notify parents of school closings and delays.  The Honeywell system is replacing the chain call system.
In the event of emergency closings due to inclement weather, announcements will be made through the Honeywell system as well as over the following radio and television stations and the Internet:
WCTC - 1450 AM New Brunswick
    WKXW - 101.5 FM Trenton
Channel 12 Cablevision – News 12 New Jersey
    Websites – www.wctcam.com; www.magic983.com; www.weatherclosings.com

    SnowingDelayed Opening
    · Buses run two hours later than daily schedule.
    · Those from other school districts follow directions of your local school district.

    Early Dismissal
    · If it becomes necessary to dismiss the students early, information will be given through the radio and television stations and the three websites. Please listen to your radio, or log onto the websites listed above for announcements of early dismissals.
    · Please discuss a plan of action with your child should an early dismissal become necessary during a school day.
    · In the event of an early dismissal the school cannot call each place of work.
    · Please discuss a plan with your child and send a note to the child’s teacher as to what you want your child to do.
Please do not call the convent, school or rectory because those lines must
be kept clear for emergency calls.
